Monica Ramey featuring the Beegie Adair Trio at Nine48jazz

Nine48jazz was created as a memorial to the late pioneer restaurateur, Charles H. Dungey, Sr., owner of the legendary restaurant, Deborah's; and to his son, the late master jazz bassist and vocalist, Charles H. Dungey, Jr. Each Nine48jazz cevent showcases some of Nashville’s hippest jazz artists in a uniquely intimate setting. Seating is up close and personal and the vibe leaves no doubt that jazz has roots in Nashville.

On July 28, Monica Ramey & the Beegie Adair Trio will make their first appearance on the new Nine48 Jazz stage. Monica Ramey is creating quite a buzz with sold-out performances in clubs both locally and nationally. In 2011, she made her debut performance at the historic Birdland Jazz Club in New York with Ms. Adair and played to a most-enthusiastic, standing room only Snap on 2 & 4 performance at the Nashville Jazz Workshop with the Beegie Adair Trio. In 2012 & 2013, she and Beegie arrived in New York to a very warm, full house welcome for their return appearances at Birdland. Her debut album, “Make Someone Happy" was released in 2010 with a very enthusiastic response from both new fans and radio promoters, internationally. Her sophomore album "Monica Ramey and the Beegie Adair Trio" launched Ms. Ramey to a new level of success. The album, produced by Beegie Adair and Roger Spencer, spent multiple weeks on the jazz charts and continues to receive rave reviews from some of the most respected journalists in jazz and recording around the world.

Jazz fans around the world agree with critics about The Beegie Adair Trio’s sophisticated and listenable jazz performances, and have made their recordings among the biggest sellers in the jazz world. They continue to play numerous venues and festivals internationally. They have recorded over 35 trio albums together, many of which have spent months on the jazz & Billboard charts. Collectively, they have sold over 1 million albums and continue to record on the Green Hill Music and Adair Music Group labels. Their 2012 live album release "The Real Thing" was named one of the 100 best albums of 2012 by JazzWeek. Ms. Adair has been recognized by her peers and fans on many occasions. Most recently, she was named a Jazz Hero by the Jazz Journalists Association.
